About the Role:
Our client is a highly successful Gold Coast manufacturing business who have experienced high growth even during and post covid and are continuing to expand their operations.
To help with their ongoing strategic growth plans, they are now seeking a self- motivated experienced Fitter for their workshop team, who will be undertaking a variety of servicing, repair, troubleshooting/fault finding and maintenance work. Experience in Hydraulics would be an advantage, however not essential.

Duties:
- Strip, measure inspect, assemble & test hydraulic cylinder components
- Conduct testing, assemble hydraulic cylinders with cleanliness & care
- Lathe work, turn up cylinder shafts, pistons, glands, barrels, fittings
- Keep workshop in a tidy and respectable condition
- Demonstrate a high quality of workmanship, and attention to detail
- Ensure adherence to company OH&S policies and procedures
Skills and Experience:
- Be a trade qualified fitter (or equivalent)
- Experienced in Hydraulic Cylinders and components an advantage
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, and follow instructions and work procedures
- Be physically capable to perform repetitive tasks, lifting, bending, twisting
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Have a strong commitment to work place health & safety
- Forklift Licence or the ability to obtain a licence
