As the Group Procurement Manager, you will be expected to fulfill the below main duties and responsibilities in an
accurate, timely and efficient manner:

- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best possible terms and pricing.

Duties:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company’s business objectives.
- Sourcing and qualify suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best possible terms and pricing.
- Manage the procurement process from start to finish, which includes the following:
– Monitoring stock holdings
– Conducting stock forecasting and obtaining approval from management for purchases
– Receipting stock into SAP B1 (Goods receipts, Landed costs, and AP invoices)
– Maintaining active stock codes and deactivating discontinued stock codes
– Create and manage all inventory codes and their related data in SAP B1
– Raise local purchase orders in SAP B1
– Raise international purchase orders for management’s approval in SAP B1
- Work with other departments to ensure that the company’s procurement needs are met.
- Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities.
Manage and maintain pricing structures (including special pricing and discounts) in SAP B1 for:
– Existing customers and new customers
– Tenders / Contracts
- Liaise with the company’s freight forwarders and advise on any delays.
- Analyze and advise on product development and potential new products by staying up to date on industry trends and best practices.
- Analyze and advise on which products should be discontinued and which should be placed on promotion.
- Ensure that all products adhere to Australian standards.
- Maintain a database of product technical data.
- Generate and provide all reporting requested by our external accountants.
- Assist in yearly ISO audits, specifically in procurement and procurement processes.
- Manage the following international finance tasks:
– Overseas purchasing cashflow
– Forward exchange contracts (FEC)
– Overseas payments (WinTrade or TT) and Repayments (WinTrade)
You will also be expected to complete and be responsible for the following tasks:
- Reviewing all procurement procedures and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Attending weekly sales meetings with management and the sales team.
- Maintaining a clean and safe workspace and abiding by workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Other tasks as directed.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience with e-procurement systems.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Excellent PC skills, especially MS Excel and SAP B1.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Good decision-making skills.
- Positive, can-do attitude.
The following skills would be desirable:
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin.
